Statement Of Faith
1.
We believe: that the Holy Scriptures (the sixty-six books of the Bible), in their entirety, are the inspired word of God , and that they are infallible and inerrant, being free from all falsehood, fraud or deceit. So that far from misleading us, they are true and reliable in all the matters they address (2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
2.
We believe: in the eternal Godhead who has revealed himself as one God eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible
(Matthew 3:16-17; 28:18-19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14: 25-26).
3.
We believe: in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis 1-3, man's total spiritual depravity and sinfulness and his inability to attain to divine righteousness by human works (Jeremiah 17: 9; Romans 3:9-18, 23; 5:12).
4.
We believe: in the deity of the Lord, Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, completely God and completely man (Luke 1:26-28; cf. 2:11-20; John 1:1-18; Philippians 2:5-11; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 1:1-12).
5.
We believe: that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world, was buried and resurrected on the third day, and after his resurrection, personally appeared to his disciples with a body (1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 12-23; Mark 10:45; 15: 33-16:7; Matthew 27:38 - 28:20; Luke 23:33 - 24:49; John 19:23 - 21:22; 1 John 2:1-2; Acts 1:1-3; Romans 4:24-25).
6.
We believe: in the bodily ascension of Jesus Christ to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again (John 14:2-3; Acts 1:9-11; Matthew 24:20-31; Luke 24:50-51; Philippians 2:9).
7.
We believe: in the salvation of sinners by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as he has done the perfect and sufficient work for the salvation of humanity (Ephesians 2:8-9; Colossians 1:13-14; Hebrews 9:11-12; Romans 5:11; 6:23; Acts 16: 29-31; John 1:9-13; 3:16; 14:60).
8.
We believe: that heaven is the present dwelling place of God and that when believers die they go there immediately, to be with him (Matthew 6:9-10; 12:50; John 16: 10; cf. Luke 24:50-51; 2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23).
9.
We believe: in the biblical practice of water baptism done in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as symbolic of the person having the experience of salvation
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:35-38; 16:25-33).
10.
We believe:in the present operation of the gifts of the Spirit in the lives of believers
(1 Corinthians 12:14; Romans 12: 6-8; Ephesians 4:7-16; 1 Peter 4:10-11).
11.
We believe: in living lives that are surrendered to the dictates of the Holy Spirit, lives that are separated from the world and one of perfecting holiness as an expression of Christian faith
(2 Corinthians 6: 14-7:1; 2 Peter 1:14-16; Hebrews 12:14; 1 John 2:28-29).
12.
We believe: that eternal life for the believer is both present and futuristic with God
(John 3:36a; 5:24; 3:16; Romans 6: 23; 1 John 5:11, 13).
13.
We believe: that unbelievers (sinners) will experience eternal punishment away from God (Matthew 25:41-45; Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8).
14.
We believe: in the reality of Satan and demons, who work to destroy humans and the plans and purposes of God, and that they will experience the ultimate eternal judgment from God (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20: 7-10; Matthew 4: 1-11; Luke 4: 1-13; Chronicles 21:1; Revelation 16:13-14; 2 Thessalonians 2:8-10; Mark 5:1-13).
15.
We believe: that the continued practice of sin is not to be a trait of any believer (1 John 1:5-6; 3:1-10; Romans 6:1-2, 6-7,11-14).
16.
We believe: that divine healing of human bodies is a benefit we can experience at this point of the church's history (1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14-15; Acts 3:1-10).
17.
We believe: that a legitimate marriage in God's evaluation is one involving two human beings, male and female (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:18-25; Matthew 19:3-10; Mark 10:2-9; Romans 7:1-3; 1:24-27; Jude 7).
